October is National Principals Month!

Today we want to recognize and thank Mr. Chanc McIntosh, our P-12 Principal at Anselmo-Merna Public School.

Mr. McIntosh leads with integrity, consistency, and care. He is always focused on what’s best for kids. Whether he’s in the classroom observing instruction (or covering a class), in the hallway greeting students by name, or at the game cheering on our Coyotes, his commitment to our students, staff, and community is evident every single day.

Under his leadership, A-M continues to grow stronger — from curriculum updates and school improvement work to expanding our Farm-to-School program and supporting professional learning for teachers. Mr. McIntosh models what it means to “Be a Learner, Be a Leader, Be a Coyote.”

Thank you, Mr. McIntosh, for your dedication and leadership. We’re grateful for all you do!

🎃 Trunk or Treat at Anselmo-Merna! 🎃

Join us this Friday 10/31 from 5:30–6:45 PM for our Trunk or Treat event at Anselmo-Merna School!

Families are invited to walk the sidewalk from the south side of the school to the football field, where local groups and community members will be handing out treats. 🍬

If you’d like to host a “Trunk,” just back your vehicle up to the sidewalk as shown in the map below!
🚗💡 Please refer to the graphic for parking details — Trunk or Treat participants should park along the sidewalk, and parking areas are marked for those attending or not attending the game.

🍔 Dinner plans? The concession stand by the football field will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers for purchase!

A big thank you to the A-M Booster Club and PTO for supporting this fun community event for our young Coyotes! ❤️🤍🖤

Our Food 4 Youth Food Drive was a tremendous success! Students competed by grade level to see who could collect the most items—and our seniors and 5th graders came out on top! Both groups will celebrate with some of the best ice cream around next week.

We’re so grateful for our community’s generous support of this important initiative, which helps replenish our backpack program and supports local kids and families facing food insecurity.

Special thanks to Adams Land and Cattle for organizing this year’s event!

If you’d like to contribute to this meaningful outreach—or if your family could benefit from support—please contact Mrs. Molli Miller at molli.miller@amcoyotes.org
