Some of Anselmo-Merna's 5th-8th Grade Students competed at the Custer County Spelling Bee in Arnold last week. The kids did great and 5th Grader Remi Dexter and 7th Grader Briley Fewkes made it to the oral rounds and both finished in the top 5. Great Job #GoCoyotes.

Our Work Study seniors are gaining real-world experience and exploring future career paths.
Drake Doss recently partnered with a local welder to help design and fabricate custom grates for the Anselmo Fire Department. From problem-solving to production, he was part of the entire process.
Hands-on learning.
Real-world ready.
Proud of our seniors and thankful for the community partners helping prepare them for what’s next.

Last night, our boys basketball team wrapped up their season in sub-district play.
We are proud of them.
A special thank you to our seniors — Brayden Wilson, Collin Wright, Kayden Record, and Ryan Finney — for the countless hours they’ve invested both on and off the court. Their leadership, work ethic, and commitment to our school will be missed.
While the season didn’t end the way we hoped, we are grateful for the opportunity to compete, to learn, and to grow together. That’s what high school athletics is about.
Thank you to our players, coaches, families, and community for your support all season long.

During our whole group reading instruction, kids are immersed in print resources to help practice and reinforce decoding and word recognition.
Research shows that exposure to print materials helps students become better readers!
