Please help us welcome Payton Gorwill to the A-M family!
“I was raised in Hyannis, NE on a ranch where my dad works and I attended K-12 schooling in Arthur, NE where my mom, Jamie Gorwill, is the Athletic Director and the Principal. I also have a younger brother who will be a Junior in high school. I attend Chadron State College majoring in Elementary Ed. K-8 and I will be graduating in December of 2024. During my free time you will most likely find me helping on the ranch or in the rodeo arena! I run barrels and breakaway. You may also see me behind the bucking chutes pulling flanks as my family owns a rough stock company as well! I have many family members who were and still are teachers. My grandpa always said "one thing nobody can take away from you is your education" and that has stuck with me. I love learning and I love children so teaching is the perfect fit for me! First grade is a critical time for laying the foundation for lifelong learning. At this age, they are eager to explore, learn, and develop essential skills in reading, writing, and math and I'm excited to help foster and build their confidence in their love for learning. I'm excited to become a part of the A-M team and to continue learning myself!”
As part of Payton moving into our first grade role, Carrie Thornton has graciously agreed to bring her strong early childhood skill set into our elementary special education role. We are so excited for our school and our kids!

Congrats to A-M's state track participants Makenna and Lily. They did a great job.
