Shoutout to our inaugural 97% Club!

These students maintained 97% attendance or higher this school year!

Showing up consistently is a key to success.

It builds habit.
It demonstrates discipline.
It strengthens relationships.
It builds confidence.
It creates opportunities for learning every single day.

This recognition reflects commitment, responsibility, and perseverance .

We are proud of you!

By the way....school is better when it’s full of kids.

We miss them!

Schools out for summer, but the 2026 yearbook is still for sale. See the school office

Showing up matters.

Back on March 14th, we kicked off our 4th Quarter Attendance Challenge — and our students responded.

Building-wide attendance increased by 4%

That’s not just a number… that’s more kids in seats, more learning happening, and more opportunities to grow together.

At Anselmo-Merna School - our mission is to
"... build strong relationships and empower critical thinkers to confidently embrace real-world challenges.”

And it starts with something simple — being present.

When students are here:

Relationships grow
Confidence builds
Learning sticks

Shoutout to 3rd grade (98%) — we’ll celebrate you tomorrow (we might also celebrate those Kindergartners & 6th graders)!

We are proud of our kids.
We are proud of our staff
We are proud of our parents / families.

Accelerated Reader™ is a supplemental program used at Anselmo-Merna School. Accelerated Reader (or "AR") is designed to motivate students to read independently by assessing their reading ability on a regular basis, suggesting appropriate books using reading levels, and giving students points based on books they have read. AR is a way to motivate children to read for practice so that they get better at reading and understanding. Personal goals are developed with the children with consideration to their reading rate and reading level.
