A recent change in Nebraska law, LB 390, requires public schools beginning with the 2026–27 school year to provide parents and guardians greater access to information about school library materials. The law requires districts to make their library catalog available to parents and to provide an option for parents who wish to receive notifications when their child checks out a school library book. Those notifications include the book title, author, and due date.
At Anselmo-Merna Public School, parents who would like to receive these notifications can opt in through our Follett Destiny Parent Portal. The instructions below explain how to set up access and connect your account to your student.
Participation is optional—parents who would like this additional information simply need to complete the opt-in process.
