The Anselmo-Merna PTO is a very active organization, but do you really know what the mission of this organization is?
“The purpose of the organization shall be to provide support for the Anselmo-Merna School, its programs, activities, and events, as well as to further communication between the school staff, parents, and community members. We will promote volunteerism through participation of the parents, community members, and staff for the unified spirit of the school.”
Some of the events that the PTO sponsors are: Teacher Appreciation Week, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Semester Testing Treats, Elementary Christmas Movie, Parent/Teacher Conference Snacks, Field Trips, and School Assemblies. The major fundraiser of the PTO is Poinsettia Sales. The Elementary students sell poinsettias that are picked up the first part of December.
